 Yabby Races
This year you can test Lady Luck at our weekly YABBY RACES. Our yabby races support the local Royal Flying Doctors Service, and now you can too!! Just by joining us every Tuesday afternoon, at 4.30pm, bringing a chair, a grog and your cash stash and you’ll get an afternoon of hilarity and madness. And you never know, you might even win a quid!! (And to all those line tossers. try talking nicely to Julian as he has been known to divulge some good yielding yabby and fishing spots to fellow fish worshipers!!!) | CampOven Cooking LessonsFor those looking for something a little more subdued, why not book in for our CAMP OVEN COOKING LESSONS? (Every Thursday ,starting at 2.00pm sharp!!) Come and learn the time honored secrets of real camp oven cooking. Limited to only 10 people per lesson, this is a must for all of those who are tired of flops and failures in their camp oven, or for those who just want to see how someone else does it. You don’t even need a camp oven as we can supply that too. Bookings are essential because all ingredients are provided for a three course meal for TWO, which you can either eat around the camp fire together or take home to share in your van or cabin. Either way, it will be a meal to remember.
| Camp oven MealsIf cooking it your self isn’t your idea of fun, you may like to come and try our expertly cooked camp oven meals which are served 4 nights a week around the camp fire. Each evening dinner is served with a healthy serving of bush hospitality either from of our local bush poet or our local Sergeant of Police.
| Outback Road Safety TalksSergeant Steve Schaeffer Steel (aka Stainless) took out first prize in the 2007 RACQ Road Safety Awards for his “Road Safety in the Outback Talks” which he holds in the Park every Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons. No Charge for this one!! And it seems by all accounts even old dogs can learn a trick or two from our Stainless so “do yourself a favor” and pop in to listen to him. |
